I said, months ago, based on studies, measurements and history, that the west coast of Canada and the US were next up on the list of big quake events! Those events would be tied to the "Cascadia Fault" which covers Vancouver south to almost San Francisco, just off the shore line of both countries. However, it looks like this quake could possibly been independent of this fault, or, maybe not. This was NOT your big one!!
