Hekla Volcano is located in southern Iceland 110 km east of Reykjavik, and 55 km from the coast. Hekla is the most active volcano in Iceland, and one of the world's best known volcanoes.

Hekla, known to many as "the gateway to hell", has a special place in my makeup. My first novel, Dragon, Book of Shang, ends at Hekla. I have studied and researched this volcano and dream of some day visiting. Hekla is one of the most fascinating volcanos on the planet.
